The Segretta Stompers have been providing top quality Trad Jazz since our founding in 1992. We’re known all over Cumbria and the North for our unique brand of hot jazz, our versatility and our wide ranging repertoire.
Bryan Park founded the Stompers and leads from the front on trumpet. The line up is flexible- we range from a trio up to a six-piece band according to venue and/or budget size. We pride ourselves on being flexible and able to accommodate our clients wishes.
We play mainly traditional New Orleans jazz, but are able to accommodate requests. Reasonable notice should be given, but we are able to step out of New Orleans and play music by The Beatles (recent performance of “All You Need Is Love” at a wedding), 1920s dance music (ideal for parties, dances, receptions)... We’ll give most things a try! Bryan is a talented arranger and so if there’s a special piece you’d love to hear he’s your man!
Founders
Thomas Bryan Park (trumpet) has over 50 years of jazz experience. Not only is he lead trumpet in the Stompers but is a noted banjo player, clarinettist and arranger. His enthusiasm is well known in the jazz world and beyond, and his friendly engaging manner adds sparkle to any occasion! Recent achievements include being immortalised in oils by local artist Ray Nicholl.
Henry Goodlett (banjo) is quite a star; one of the finest banjo players in the North he draws crowds and steals the attention wherever he goes. He is a truly natural musician and something of a showman too!
